A prominent independent energy company based in the USA, along with their CEO, embarked on a visit to India and the Maldives, aboard a Gulfstream 650 aircraft.
During their arrival at a regional airport in India, the aircraft encountered an internal failure in its main tire, grounding the crew and threatening the continuation of their long-planned journey. The malfunction posed significant safety concerns, particularly for future landings.
Later in the trip while at a regional airport in the Maldives, the crew faced another issue- a re-fuelling delay. Fuel at this airport is typically delivered by boat, but due to the late arrival of the supply vessel, only a limited amount of fuel was available, insufficient for the aircraft’s final long-haul leg to Athens.
India – Regional Airport
Our ground handling team swiftly reassured the crew and promptly coordinated with Gulfstream’s Regional Field Representative. The representative arranged for a replacement wheel, while CAPL facilitated airport access for the engineers. The repair was completed within four hours, restoring the aircraft’s airworthiness for its next flight to the Maldives.
Maldives – Regional Airport
The crew required a full fuel load for their 8-9 hour flight. However, the local supplier could only offer a limited quantity due to logistical delays. CAPL team engaged directly with the airport’s leadership and secured approval for the necessary fuel uplift, ensuring the aircraft could safely proceed to its final destination.
The client continues to be a valued partner, and regularly utilizes our services across India and the broader subcontinent.
The crew expressed high satisfaction for the seamless support provided throughout their journey, offering glowing feedback.
